Ornette Coleman, who don't look no part 77, won a Pulitzer today. I like the idea of him more than his music, in fact, I don't much listen to his music--I'm partial to soulful pianists--but I imagine I'll grow into it. Still, he's got a style that I admire and I adore his former partner, Jayne Cortez.
